RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING ROBYN LACASSE
FOR HER SIX YEARS OF VOLUNTEERISM AND PUBLIC
SERVICE ON THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, Robyn LaCasse served on the Parks and Recreation Commission
from July 20, 1998 to March 31, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Robyn LaCasse was appointed Chair on January 3, 2000, and
served in that leadership role until her term expired; and
WHEREAS, Robyn LaCasse served as participative leader involving Parks
Commissioners and the public alike in significant parks projects;
and
WHEREAS, Robyn LaCasse was instrumental in the creation of the City's first
ever Parks and Recreation Commission which accomplished a
multitude of projects like the Parks Master Plan, Lions Park
Playground equipment, Beaver Ponds soccer field, Bernin Park,
Oneka Ponds Park, a variety of bituminous trails throughout the
community, a variety of public/private parks in Victor Gardens,
and establishment of the Neighborhood Block Program; and
WHEREAS, Robyn LaCasse has submitted her letter of resignation effective
March 31, 2004, and will be deeply missed by the Parks and
Recreation Commission for her volunteerism, City Council, and
City Staff; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Hugo City Council officially
recognizes Robyn LaCasse for her volunteerism and publicly thank her for her six years
of dedicated public service to the City of Hugo.
Adopted this 1st day of March 2004 by order of the Hugo City Council.
