RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 5
CITY OF HUGO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, REGARDING THE ROAD AND
BRIDGE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City is a party to that certain Road Maintenance Agreement with
Washington County dated July 1, 2001, which expires June 30, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, Washington County has indicated that it will not renew the Agreement
but, would like to. continue to partner with the City to provide certain services to the City of Hugo in
a way which allows for the orderly assumption of road maintenance obligations by the City of
Hugo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, does not contest Washington County's decision to not
renew the Road Maintenance Agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Hugo is desirous of negotiating a
services contract by which Washington County will provide within the City of Hugo in accordance
with the attached Exhibit A, and Staff is directed to accomplish that and provide to Council an
Agreement embodying this.
WHEREUPON, a vote being taken upon the motion, the following members voted
in favor: Mike Granger, Becky Petryk, Frank Puleo, and Fran Miron
the following voted against: NONE
WHEREUPON, said 1potion was declared duly passed and adopted by the City
Council for the City of Hugo this day of , 2002.
