HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002.07.01 RESO 2002-0030RESOLUTION 2002-30 A RESOLUTION ELIMINATING 140TH STREET ALIGNMENT FROM FURTHER STUDY WHEREAS, Washington County has received federal funding to reconstruct County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 8/14 between 1-35E in Lino Lakes, Anoka County, and TH61 in Hugo, Washington County, as a four -lane highway; WHEREAS, Washington County has entered into Cooperative Agreements with Anoka County and Hugo to prepare environmental documents and plans for the CSAH 8/14 Reconstruction Project; and WHEREAS, Washington County is the Responsible Government Unit (RGU) for the CSAH 8/14 Reconstruction Project; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Rule 4410.4300 Subp. 22 requires an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) be prepared for the project; and WHEREAS, Washington County will prepare and circulate for review and comment an Environmental Assessment (EA) document pursuant to the Minnesota Department of Transportation Alternative Environmental Review Process adopted by the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board; and WHEREAS, Washington County has prepared an alternatives analysis studying alignment alternatives aloz Main Street in Lino Lakes and Frenchman Road in Hugo connecting with TH61 at 14e Street, 142 Street, 145`x' Street, and 147" Street/Oneka Lake Boulevard; and WHEREAS, Washington County recommends that the 140' Street alignment be eliminated from further study because of environmental impacts, right-of-way and construction costs, and travel patterns; and WHEREAS, Washington County recommends that the alignment alternatives along Main Street in Lino Lakes and Frenchman Road in Hugo connecting with TH61 at 142nd Street, 145a' Street, and 147" Street/Oneka Lake Boulevard move forward for further study in the EA document. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Hugo concurs that the 14e Street alignment be eliminated from further study and the alignment alternatives along Main Street in Lino Lakes and Frenchman Road in Hugo connecting with TH61 at 142nd Street, 145` Street, and 147' Street/Oneka Lake Boulevard move forward for further study in the EA document.
