RESOLUTION 2001-58
CITY OF HUGO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON
COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AUTHORIZING QUICK TAKE CONDEMNATION
PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 117, ET. SEQ.
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo intends to install a trunk drainage system and clear out the
west Oneka Lake ditch from l0h Street South to 152nd Street in the City of Hugo, County of
Washington, State of Minnesota; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to acquire easements for ponding, drainage and flowage, as
well as temporary construction easements to permit the work to commence; and,
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of acquiring the easements at the earliest possible time
so that construction can commence without further delay.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Hugo,
Washington County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City Attorney shall be and hereby is authorized to commence quick -take
condemnation proceedings to acquire the necessary easements over the properties identified on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 117.042.
WHEREUPON, a vote being taken upon the motion, the following members voted in favor:
and the following voted against: Mike Granger, Chuck Haas, Becky Petryk, Fran Miron
WHEREUPON, said motion was declared duly passed and adopted by the City Council this
day of November 2002.
