RESOLUTION 2002 - 61
APPROVING A SITE PLAN AND VARIANCE FOR THE AMERICAN LEGION
POST 620 AND THE CITY OF HUGO FOR PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF
140TH STREET AND WEST OF HIGHWAY 61.
WHEREAS, The American Legion Post 620 and the City of Hugo have requested
approval of a site plan and variance to allow construction of a 7,500 square foot Private
Club on property legally described as follows:
Lot 2, Block 1, Bald Eagle Industrial Park 2nd Addition
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said site plan and variance at a duly
called public meeting and recommends approval of the site plan and variance, and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the site
plan and variance for the American Legion Post 620 and the City of Hugo on property
located north of 140' Street and west of Highway 61, subject to the following conditions:
1. A site plan is approved to allow construction of a 7,500 square foot building in
accordance with the plans and application received by the City on October 14, 2002,
except as amended by this resolution.
2. A variance is approved to allow a 10 -foot side yard setback along the west property
line in accordance with the plans received by the City on October 14, 2002.
3. The exterior trash enclosure shall be constructed of materials that match the exterior
finish of the building.
4. Approval of the site plan is subject to the construction of additional parking on either
the Rick's Liquor or Fire Hall property.
ADOPTED by the City Council this 4th day of November 2002.
