CITY OF HUGO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL—OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON
COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AUTHORIDNG QUICK TAKE CONDEMNATION PURSUANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 117, ET. SEQ.
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo intends to construct a new City Hail to be located at 14651
Fitzgerald Avenue North, Hugo, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, as more specifically
described on Exhibit A hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires. to use the property for the construction of the City hall to
conduct City affairs and in the public service; and,
WHEREAS, the City has been unable to secure title to the property through othermeans;
and,
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of acquiring the property at the earliest possible time so
that construction on the new City Hallcan commence without further delay.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Hugo,
Washington County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City Attorney shall be and hereby is authorized to commence quick -take
condemnation proceedings to acquire the above-described property pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes Section 117.042.
WHEREUPON, a vote being taken upon the motion, the following members voted in favor.
Mike Granger, Chuck Haas, Becky Petryk, Frank Puleo, and Fran Miron
the following voted against: NONE
WHEREUPON, said motion was declared duly passed and adopted by the City Council this
26th -day -.of April, -2001.
