CITY OF HUGO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN CORE
VALUES TO GUIDE THE CITY TODAY AND IN THE FUTURE.
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has a rich history as a closely -knit agricultural
community in which the values of hard work, community service and
neighborliness are very.important; and,
WHEREAS, the City is proud to have Hugo Elementary School and the
White Bear Lake School district as its partner in educating young children of
Hugo; and,
WHEREAS, the City is currently experiencing commercial, residential and
industrial growth, which is in keeping with the City's long-term vision; and,
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of fostering that growth in an orderly,
thoughtful and well-planned way, and in keeping with the values historically held
by the residents:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Hugo,
Washington County, Minnesota, that the City of Hugo will work to build quality
lives and a strong community with these core values:
• Compassion
• Integrity
• Respect
• Responsibility
• Service
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City of Hugo does adopt the
foregoing community core values this 3`d day of December 2001.
