A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED
IMPROVEMENT OF THE PELOQUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK AND EAST SIDE OF FOREST
BOULEVARD BY CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER, MUNICIPAL WATER STORM
SEWER, CURB, GUTTER AND PAVED STREETS AND CALLING FOR A HEARING ON 774E
IMPROVEMENT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to order by the Council, a report has been prepared by the City Engineer
regarding the improvement of the streets listed below, except for item E, by the construction of
sanitary sewer and water mains, storm sewer, curb, gutter, and bituminous paved streets.
List of Streets to be Considered for Improvement
A. The east side of Forest Boulevard from the north line of Section 17 to the south line
of 152nd Street.
B. 152nd Street extending from the east line of Forest Boulevard to the east line of the
NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 17.
C. Francesca Avenue extending from the south line of 152nd Street to a point
approximately 500 feet to the south of the south line of 152nd Street..
D. Freeland Avenue extending from the south line of 152nd Street to a point
approximately 450 south of the south line of 152nd Street.
E. The east side of Forest Boulevard from the south line of 152nd Street to the south
line of N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 17.
WHEREAS, on January 19, 1999 the Council received a letter from Robert and Regina Bemier,
owners of property abutting Forest Boulevard south of 152nd Street, requesting the City consider
extending municipal sewer and water service to their property; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer's report was received by the City Council on January 19, 1999,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and
the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of improvement pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of $ $1,438,700.
2. The engineer shall amend his report of January 19, 1999 to include improving the area
abutting the east side of Forest Boulevard from the south line of 152nd Street to the south line of
N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 17. The additional cost of such improvements
shall be added to the estimated total cost of the project.
3. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 16th day of February
1999, in the Council chambers of the City Hall at 7:05 p.m. The Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as is required by law.
