HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999.03.01 RESO 1999-0005RESOLUTION 1999-5 A RESOLUTION REQUIRING ALL APPLICATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT COST REIMMURSEMENT UNDER THE CITY'S PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT COST SHARING POLICY BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING PRIOR TO FINAL PLAT APPROVAL WHEREAS, on May 18, 1998, the City Council adopted a policy creating a uniform system to consider reimbursing private developers the costs they incur constructing public improvements benefiting other property owners; and WHEREAS, applications for such reimbursement, when they occur after the fact, limit Council discretion in determining the relative importance and advisability of constructing such improvements; NOW THERE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that the City shall only consider written applications for the reimbursement of private development costs when applications for such reimbursement are received prior to the Council's approval of the final plat, or other final development plan for which the improvements are being constructed. Upon roll call, members voting AYE: Barnes, Haas, Stoltzman Voting NAY: None Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 16th day of February, 1999. Walter L. Stoltzman, Mayor ATTEST: Maryreager, City Clerko RESOLUTION 1999-6 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE 129TH STREET P.L PROJECT WHEREAS, the City Council fixed a date of December 21, 1998 for a hearing on the proposed improvement of 129th Street, from the north line of Europa Trail to the east line of Elmcrest Avenue by extension of municipal water and sanitary sewer mains; and WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon the 21 st day of December, 1998, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA: 1. Such improvement is hereby order as proposed in the Council resolution adopted 1 st day of March, 1999. 2. OSM is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. Upon roll call, the following members voting AYE: Barnes, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman Voting Nay: NONE Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 1 st day of March, 1999. Walter L.
