A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICY BY
AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO CONTRIBUTE PUBLIC FUNDS TO
AN ANNUAL EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION DINNER.
WHEREAS, the services provided to the community by City employees is worthy
of recognition; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to promote team work, effective
interpersonal communications, respect and camaraderie among City employees,
as well as recognize the contributions all City employees make to the effective
operation of community services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hugo,
Washington County Minnesota, that the City's Personnel Policy be amended by
adding the following section:
5.4 In order to enhance interpersonal communications, promote
employee morale, and recognize the contributions of all employees to the
effective operation of the City, the City Council may allocate an amount up to
two-tenths of one percent (.002) of the total amount of all regular, full-time, and
part-time employees' gross wages and salaries (not including insurance, taxes,
or other benefits) to fund an annual employee recognition dinner, picnic, or
similar event.
Motion to approve this resolution was made by: Leroux
Seconded by: Barnes
Voting Aye: Bames, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman
Voting No: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 24th day of
November, 1999.
