RESOLUTION 1998-11 <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF HUGO'S COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN BY CLARIFYING THE IMPLEMENTATION AND TIMING <br />OF PROPOSED ZONING CHANGES. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has prepared and adopted a Comprehensive Plan <br />in accordance with the Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and <br />WHEREAS, certain properties in the Plan have been guided for future <br />commercial and industrial use; and <br />WHEREAS, it is not in the public interest to rezone property for more intensive <br />use until appropriate public facilities and services are available to serve the <br />development that may occur under the proposed zoning classification; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HUGO, <br />WASHINGTON, MINNESOTA, that the following paragraph be added to the <br />City's Comprehensive Municipal Plan: <br />'The Comprehensive Plan envisions that certain properties will eventually be <br />rezoned to exist within the industry, commercial business, and retail business <br />districts. It is the intent of.this Comprehensive Plan that such rezoning should <br />not ordinarily occur until such time as both municipal water and sewer are <br />available, on site, to service those properties." <br />Upon roll call, the following members voting AYE: Arcand, Goiffon, Leroux, <br />Miron <br />Voting NAY: NONE <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 6th day of <br />April, 1998 <br />Fr n Miron, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />"-Z44-C4 d2t-� 6::�tw� <br />Maryen Creager, City 96rk <br />
