HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998.04.06 RESO 1998-0011RESOLUTION 1998-11 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF HUGO'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY CLARIFYING THE IMPLEMENTATION AND TIMING OF PROPOSED ZONING CHANGES. WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has prepared and adopted a Comprehensive Plan in accordance with the Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and WHEREAS, certain properties in the Plan have been guided for future commercial and industrial use; and WHEREAS, it is not in the public interest to rezone property for more intensive use until appropriate public facilities and services are available to serve the development that may occur under the proposed zoning classification; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HUGO, WASHINGTON, MINNESOTA, that the following paragraph be added to the City's Comprehensive Municipal Plan: 'The Comprehensive Plan envisions that certain properties will eventually be rezoned to exist within the industry, commercial business, and retail business districts. It is the intent of.this Comprehensive Plan that such rezoning should not ordinarily occur until such time as both municipal water and sewer are available, on site, to service those properties."
