RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE APPOINTMENT OF HARRIET MCPHERSON
TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Harriet McPherson has indicated a willingness to serve,
and has applied for appointment, on the Metropolitan Council, and
WHEREAS, Harriet McPherson resides in district Twelve (12) of
which the City of Hugo is a part, and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Hugo has reviewed her
application, and
WHEREAS, We feel her broad range of experience in governance and
public service, as well as her proven capability and dedication, will
serve our district very well;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY The City Council of the City of Hugo,
County of Washington, State of Minnesota, That the City Council shall go
on record as endorsing Harriet McPherson for this position; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, We enthusiastically urge the committee to
nominate, and our esteemed Governor to appoint, Harriet McPherson to the
Metropolitan Council.
Upon roll call, following members voting AYE: Debra Barnes, Andrew
Goiffon, Marvin LaValle, James Leroux, Fran Miron
VOTING NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 3rd day of
Creager.. City
