RESOLUTION 95-8
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF
NO PARKING SIGNS ON 140TH STREET ADJACENT TO LAKE PLAISTED
WHEREAS, the unusual high water levels of Lake Plaisted and South School
Section Lake have created a situation where the waters of Lake Plaisted
have risen to meet 140th St., and
WHEREAS, the public is now using a section of 140th St. to launch boats
into Lake Plaisted, as well as for parking vehicles and boat trailers, and
WHEREAS, the high water levels of the lake create a situation where there
are no shoulders on the public roadway, and the public is parking in
driving lanes for the street creating an unsafe situation for vehicles and
pedestrians,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HU88,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that no parking shall be allowed on 140th
Street from a point 200' west of Lake Plaisted's abutment to 140th Street
to a point 200^ east of Lake Plaisted's abutment to 140th Street, and
FURTHERMORE,. The City Administrator is hereby directed to have "NO
PARKING" signs installed along 140th Street along the designated no
parking area.
Upon roll call, voting AYE: Barnes, Goiffon, LaValle, Miron
Upon roll call, voting MAY: NONE
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 6th day of
June, 1995.
