A RESOLUTION POSTING SPEED LIMITS ON ELMCREST AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Hugo City Council requested the Commissioner of
Transportation to conduct a study to determine the appropriate and safe
speed for vehicle traffic on Elmcrest Avenue between 129th Street and
County State Aid Highway S. and
WHEREAS, such a study has been completed by the Metropolitan
Division of the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the
Commissioner's report for a recommendation has been provided to the City
in a letter dated November 2, 1995, and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo shares Elmmcrest Avenue with the City of
Lino Lakes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGQ,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that upon acceptance of the Commissioner of
Transportation's report by the City of Lino Lakes, that the speed limits
on Elmcrest Avenue, between 129th Street and CSAH 8 shall be as specified
in the Commissioner's report; specifically, 35umph between the intersection
with 129th Street and a point approximately 2,900 feet north of the
intersection with 129th Street; 40mph between a point approximately 2900
feet north of the intersection with 129th Street and the intersection with
East Cedar Street; and 45 mph between the intersection with East Cedar
Street and the intersection with Washington CSAH 8 (Frenchman Rd.), and
FURTHERMORE, that the City maintenance supervisor is hereby directed to
have the appropriate signs emplaced to notify the public of these speed
limits.

Upon roll call, voting NAY: NONE
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 20th day of
