RESOLUTION REVIEWING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS IN THE CITY OF HUGO.
WHEREAS, by RESOLUTION 1989-16, the Hugo City Council requested that the
Minnesota Department of Transportation (MND8T) review the speed limits of
certain roadways within the City of Hugo with the intent to reduce the
authorized speed limits on the roadways, and
WHEREAS, such reviews were conducted by MNDOT during 1990, and MNDQT found
that the reduction of the speed limit on Harrow Avenue, between 157th Gt.
and 165th St., to 45 miles per hour would be permissible pursuant to M.S.
Chapter 169.4 and all applicable subdivisions thereof, and
Whereas, the City Council desires to reduce such speed limit on Harrow
Avenue in order to protect the public safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, hereby requests that the Minnesota
Department of Transportation authorize a speed limit of 45 MPH on Harrow
Avenue between 157th St. and 165th St. in the City of Hugo.
Upon roll call council members voting AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux,
Miron, Stoltzman
Council members voting NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 1st day of
June, 1992.
