RESOLUTION REVIEWING THE SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS IN THE
CITY OF HUGO.
WHEREAS, Residents of the City of Hugo have expressed concern for the
safety of children and pedestrians on certain streets within the City, due
to excessive vehicle speeds in residential areas, and
WHEREAS, in order to preserve the safety of its residents the City Council
wishes to determine and promote safe speed limits on the City's streets,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
MINNESOTA;
Requests the Commissioner of Transportation review the speed limits on
Europa Avenue, between 124th and 126th Streets, and Goodview Ave. south of
Washington County Road 8A, to 120th Street, all located in the City of
Hugo, with the purpose of reducing the authorized speed on these roads.
Upon roll call members voting AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Lroux, Miron,
Stoltzman
Upon roll call members voting NAY: Nome
Whereupon said resolution was declared and pased this 6th day of July,
1992.
