RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR HENNA AVENUE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of
Henna Avenue from County Road #4 (170th Street) north to 180th Street, by
the improvement of bituminous surfacing, bids were received complying with
the advertisement: Valley Paving ($145,382.13), Bituminous Construction
($154,106.44), Tower Asphalt ($167,797.01), and Aero Asphalt
($191,471.74);
AND WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, 4105 85th Avenue N., Bldg. B,
Suite 103, Brooklyn Park, MN., is the lowest responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract between Valley Paving and the City of Hugo for the
improvement of Henna Avenue, between 170th Street and 180th Street, by
the improvement of bituminous surfacing according to the plans and
specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office
of the City Clerk, within 90 days of this approval pending any
assessment appeals.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of
the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained
until a contract has been signed.
Upon roll call, voting AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman
Voting NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 21st day of
September, 1992.
