RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT #1990-1v PHASE 2
WHEREAS, Pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on
November 26, 19900 the City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto, has prepared plans
and specifications for the improvement of 130th Street from County State
Aid Highway #8A west to Irish Avenue, Irish Avenue from 130th Street south
to County State Aid Highway #7, 125th Street from Goodview Avenue east to
Homestead Drive, 132nd Street from Goodview Avenue east to County Road
#8A, Homestead Avenue from 132nd Street north to 147th Street, Henna
Avenue (aka 128th Street) from 132nd Street south to Hilo Avenue, and Hilo
Avenue from Henna Avenue (aka 128th Street) south to 125th Street, by the
improvement of bituminous surfacing and related improvements, and has
presented such plans and specifications to the City Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGOv
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare, and cause to be inserted in the official
paper and Construction Bulletinv an advertisement for bids upon the
making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications.
The advertisement for bids shall be published for 10 days, shall specify
the work to be done, shall state that bids will be considered by the
Council at 7:00 PM, on May 200 1991 in the Council chambers of the City
Hall,, and that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 2:00 PM an
May 7. 1991, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall by the City Clerk and Administrator, will then
be tabulated, and will be considered by the Council. Any bidder whose
responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given
an opportunity to address the Council an the issue of responsibility. No
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk, and
accompanied by a cash depositv cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check, payable to the Clerk. for 5% of the amount of such bid.
Upon roll call, the following members voted AYE: Brunotte, Jesinski,
McAllister, Miron, Stoltzman
Voted NAY: NONE
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 1st day of
April.. 1991.
