RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING UPGRADING OF THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR POSITION AND FILLING OF SAID POSITION
WHEREAS, The City Council acknowledges the need to improve its
accounting and financial control system to deal with growth and required
changes in the City finance department;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Mr. Ronald Otkin continue employment as finance director for the City
of Hugo effective January 1, 1991, as per the following conditions of
employment:
A. Employee shall be classified as a regular, full-time employee, and
shall be eligible for employee benefits.
B. Employee shall be permitted to work a flexible schedule involving
evenings, weekends, and a normal workweek, as approved by the City
Administrator. (Minimum 2,080 hrs/year.)
C. Employee shall be paid at the rate of '26,000 per year for the
employment period beginning January 1, 1991.
D. Employee shall be paid at the rate of $29,000 per year for the
period beginning January 1, 1992.
E. This employment arrangement shall be subject to extension through
19939 if agreed upon by the employee and employer.
F. Employee shall be provided health and dental insurance, as offered
through the City's group health plan, subject to employee payment of
5% of the premium cost for dependents.
G. Employee shall be provided up to $300 annually for tuition
reimbursement for job-related courses taken during employment with the
City, as per the City's personnel policy, Subd. 25E.
H. Employee shall be entitled to all benefits, and is subject to
provisions of the City's personnel policy.
Upon roll call, the following members voting AYE: Jesinski, Vail, Olson,
McAllister, Atkinson
Voting NAY: NONE
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 5th day of
November, 1990. , /
