Councilmember Deane Vail introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-2
RESOLUTION ADOPTING A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR
A CABLE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF HUGO
WHEREAS, The City of Hugo has delegated to its City Administrator and
legal counsel the responsibility to prepare a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a cable
communications system for the City of Hugo; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the Request for Proposals and has held a
public hearing concerning the Request for Proposals; and
WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing was published in the official
newspaper of the City; and
WHEREAS, members of the public have been afforded a reasonable
opportunity to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Hugo City Council as follows:
1. The City of Hugo adopts the Request for Proposals as prepared by the
City Administrator and legal counsel.
2. The Request for Proposals shall be issued by the City of Hugo and shall
be on file in the City Administrator's office of the City.
3. The City of Hugo hereby delegates to the City Administrator and legal
counsel the responsibility to perform on behalf of the City all tasks
incident to the issuance of the Request for Proposals.
4. The City of Hugo hereby delegates to the City Administrator and legal
counsel the responsibility to perform on behalf of the City all tasks
incident to the receipt and evaluation of any proposals received by the
City and to prepare a recommendation to the City of a cable company to
be approved by the City, and a final franchise ordinance to be
considered by the City in its regular ordinance procedures.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Mike McAllister and upon vote being taken, the
following voted in favor thereof: McAllister, Jesinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson
and the following voted against the same:
whereupon said resolution was passed this
