moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 1989-4
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE APPLICATION OF NORTH CENTRAL CABLE
COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A
CABLE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF HUGO
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo ("City") has issued a Request for Proposals for a
cable communications system for City; and
WHEREAS, the City has received responses to its Request for Proposals from
Citation Cable Systems, Ltd. and North Central Cable Communications Corporation,
d/b/a Cable TV North Central, on February 1,1989; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed and evaluated the proposals and has held
a public hearing concerning the proposals after affording the public reasonable
notice and a reasonable opportunity to be heard concerning the applications; and
WHEREAS, the City is prepared to select a cable application and direct the
preparation of a cable communications franchise ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Hugo City Council as follows:
1. The City hereby accepts the application of North Central Cable
Communications Corporation, d/b/a Cable TV North Central, dated
February 1, 1989, including the supplemental information dated
February 10, 1989, for the construction of a cable communications
system for the City.
2. The City hereby directs the City Administrator and legal counsel to
negotiate and prepare a cable communications franchise ordinance,
which will be considered by the City in accordance with its regular
ordinance procedures.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Tem Jesinski and upon vote being taken,
the following voted in favor thereof.-
