RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION REGARDING
VARIANCES FOR GARAGES AND ACCESSORY BUILDINGS
WHEREAS, City ordinance limits the size of attached or detached
garages in residential areas to 720 square feet, and
WHEREAS, City ordinance prohibits construction of detached garages or
accessory buildings between the principal building and the road, and
WHEREAS, The City Council has directed the staff and city attorney to
prepare amendments to the zoning ordinance modifying these setback:Fand
building size requirements, and
WHEREAS, The Council deems it appropriate to expedite the processing
of variances from these setback and building size requirements;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA:
That the city/zoning administrator be in and hereby is authorized to
process and issue variances, where applicable, subject to site plan
submittal and Council action ratifying issuance of variance approvals.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this authorization shall be temporary in
mature, and shall extend from the date of this resolution to adoption of
the ordinance amendments referenced herein.
Upon roll call the following Council members voted AYE: McAllister,
Jesinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson
Upon roll call the following Council members voted NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed nd adopted th s 17th day of
