HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989.05.15 RESO 1989-0012RESOLUTION 1989-12 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR HUGOCAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM PROJECT #5-2-88(B) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Qneka Lake Boulevard from 200' east of Geneva Avenue easterly to Harrow Avenue, Harrow Avenue from 157th Street north to 165th 8treet, Goodview Avenue from County Road 8A to the south corporate limits, Falcon Avenue from 124th Street -south to 120th Street, 177th Street east from State Aid Highway 61 to Greystone Avenue, 130th Street from State Aid Highway 61 east to Goodview Avenue, and Hyde Avenue from 147th Street south approximately .4 miles, and 146th Street and 147th Street railroad crossings, by the improvement of bituminous surfacing and related improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Valley Paving, Inc. $617,770.95 Hardrives, Inc. 766,001.37 Alexander Construction 768,549.32 Anderson Bros. Const. Co. 768,798.47 T.A. SchifskY & Sons, Inc. 780,254.54 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving of Shakopee, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Valley Paving of Shakopee, MN., in the name of the City of Hugo for the improvement of Oneka Lake Blvd., from 200' east of Geneva Avenue easterly to Harrow Avenue, Harrow Avenue from 157th Street north to 165th Street, Goodview Avenue from County Road 8A to the south corporate limits, Falcon Avenue from 124th Street south to 120th Street, 177th Street east from State Aid Highway 61 to Greystone Avenue, 130th Street from State Aid Highway 61 east to Goodview Avenue, and Hyde Avenue from 147th Street south approximately .4 miles, and 146th Street and 147th Street railroad crossings, by the improvement of bituminous surfacing and related improvements, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the city clerk. 2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
