A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN RETIREMENT BENEFITS
FOR THE CITY OF HUGO FIREMEN'S RELIEF ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, the financial report prepared for the Firemen's Relief
Association for the period ending 1989 reflects the ability to increase
retirement benefits without the need for a municipal tax levy, and
WHEREAS, said increase does not increase the retirement benefits of
those individuals who have retired from the City of Hugo Fire Department
prior to January 1, 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Hugo, Minnesota, that the retirement benefits for qualifying members of the
Hugo Fire Department be increased from $500.00 per year of service to
$550.00 per year of service effective January 1, 1990.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the retirement benefits for qualifying
members of the Hugo Fire Department be increased from $550.00 per year of
service to $600.00 per year of service effective January 1, 1991, contingent
upon the submission of properly completed financial schedules by August 1,
1990, which reflect no need for any municipal tax levy.
Upon roll call the following Council members voted AYE: Olson, Jesinski,
Vail, McAllister, Atkinson
Upon roll call the following Council members voted NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared paadopted this 16th day of
