RESOLUTION 1988-1 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR HOMESTEAD DRIVE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />NUMBER 1987-30-0. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of <br />125th Street from County Road 10 north to Homestead Drive, and Homestead <br />Drive from 125th Street north to 130th Street North, and 130th Street from <br />Homestead Drive east to its termination by the improvement of bituminous <br />surfacing, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and <br />the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: T.A. <br />Schifsky - $52,550.00, Valley Paving, Inc. - $59,941.50, W.H. Miller, Inc. <br />$62,365.00, Northwest Asphalt, Inc. - $63,836.25, Alber Constrcution -- <br />$63,914.00, Forest Lake Contracting - $64,273.25, Tower Asphalt -- <br />$66,732.50, Alexander Construction - $72,615.00, and Ashbach Construction <br />$79,822.24. <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that T.A. Schifsky & Sons of North St. Paul, <br />Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />the attached contract with T.A. Schifsky & Sons of North St. Paul, <br />Minnesota and the City of Hugo for the improvement of 125th Street <br />from County Road 10 north to Homestead Drive, and Homestead Drive from <br />125th Street north to 130th Street North, and 130th Street from <br />Homestead Drive east to its termination by the improvement of <br />bituminous surfacing according to the plans and specifications <br />therefor approved by the city council and on file in the office of the <br />city clerk, within 90 days of this approval pending any assessment <br />appeals. <br />2.
