A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR HOMESTEAD
DRIVE PROJECT #1987-30-0.
WHEREAS, Pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on
September 8, 1987, the city engineer, Howard Kuusisto, has prepared plans
and specifications for the improvement of 125th Street from County Road 10
north to Homestead Drive, and Homestead Drive from 125th Street North to
130th Street North, and 130th Street from Homestead Drive east to its
termination, by the improvement of bituminous surfacing, and has presented
such plans and specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The city clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
paper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement
under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall
be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state
that bids and the bid responsibility of the bidders will be considered
by the Council at 7:00 PM on January 4, 1988, in the council chambers
of the city hall, and that bids will be received by the city clerk
until 12:00 noon on December 30, 1987, at which time they will be
publicly opened in the council chambers of the city hall, by the city
clerk, and will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the City
Council as stated herein. Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an
opportunity to address the council on the issue of responsibility. No
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the Hugo City Clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid.
Upon roll call, the following members voted AYE: Theodora Peltier, Arthur
Potts, Robert Olson, Deane Vail, George Atkinson
Upon roll call, the following members voted NAY: NONE
ADOPTED AND PASSED THIS 16TH DAY OF NOVEMBER,,1987.
