RESMUTION 1985-12 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SALARIES FOR THE HUGO FIRE AND RESCUE DEPARTMENT. The City Council of the City of Hugo, Minnesota, hereby ordains: 1. All fire fighters will be paid $3.70/hour until they have twelve (12) full months of service on the Fire Department. To become effective 1/1/86. 2. After twelve (12) full months of service with the Fire Department, fire fighters will be paid at the rate of $5.00/hour. 3. The officers appointed by the Hugo City Council, Fire Chief and 1st and 2nd Assistant Chiefs, will be paid at a rate of $6.00/hour, as well as the annual salary set by the Council at budget time. 4. All fire fighters and fire chiefs who complete five (5) years of service during any one calendar year shall be paid a $50.00 stipend that year, and each year thereafter until he has reached ten (10) years of service, provided the Fire Chief certifies, in writing, to the Clerk's office that the fireman has completed 75% of the drills and meetings required by the Hugo Fire Department. 5. All fire fighters and Fire Chiefs who complete ten (10) years of service during any one calendar year shall be paid a $100.00 annual stipend, and each year thereafter until retirement, provided the Fire Chief certifies, in writing, to the Clerk's office, that the fireman has completed 75% of drills and meetings required by the Hugo Fire Department. 6. Failure of the Fire Chief to certify completion of 75% of drills and meetings, as required by the Hugo Fire Department, for any member that year, shall result in forfeiture of the stipend for that year. 7. The salary for the Fire Chief will be set at $1,200.00/year. The salary for the 1st and 2nd Assistant Chiefs will be set at $300.00/year. These increases to become effective 1/1/86.
