A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
WASHINGTON COUNTY REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The following Resolution was introduced by Michael McAllister,
who moved its adoption.
WHEREAS, the Washington County H.R.A. is duly formed and operating; and,
WHEREAS, the Washington County H.R.A. is making application to the De-
partment of Housing and Urban Development for the Section 8 Housing
Assistance Payment Program; and,
WHEREAS, the available number of existing Section 8 units are not in
adequate supply to service all needing persons throughout Washington
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Hugo does hereby agree
to the following:
1. That for the purposes of H.U.D.'s Section 8 Housing Assistance
Payment Program, the Washington County H.R.A. shall be per-
mitted to act as the official authority within the corporate
boundaries of the City of Hugo.
2. That the City of Hugo shall monitor and advise the County H.R.A.
on activities within the city.
3. That the City of Hugo shall not be legally responsible for the
actions of the County H.R.A.
The motion to adopt the Resolution was seconded by Howard Schletty
and upon roll call vote the following voted:
YEAS: Marvin LaValle, Mike McAllister, Howard Schletty, Deane Vail
NAYS: None
