A'RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING UTILITY RATES FOR SANITARY SEWER USE, AND
WATER USE IN TSE CITY OF HUGO AS REQUIRED BY CITY CODE CHAPTERS 262
AND 314.
The City Council of the City of Hugo'determines that:
WBEREAS, the City Council of Hugo has and will incur costs for operation
of the city sanitary sewer system and water system servicing a part of the City
of hugo; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it expedient and economic to determine the
sewerage and water rates quarterly, and to bill users quarterly for use of the
sanitary sewer and water systems; and
WBEREAS, the City Council determines that it is desirable to calculate the
sewerage use rate and water use rate based upon a single—family living unit or
nmltiples thereof, as determined by the City of Hugo;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
CITY SANITARY SEWER RATES:
1. All uasere of the.Sanitary Sewer System and City Water System shall be
billed quarterly.
2. Sanitary Sewer Use Rates shall be determined as follows:
A. Sanitary Sewer users connected to city water system and having the
City Water.usage metered, shall be charged for use of the sanitary
sewer system, the sum of ($15.00) times the nwnber of living units
equivalent plus 100% of the water charge over the minima charge
established for the winter quarter, the amount so established to
be charged quarterly.
B. Sanitary sewer users not connected to the City Water System shall
be char for the use of the Sanitary Sewer System, the sum of
($15.00 times the comber of living units equivalents, and the
amount so established to be paid quarterly. In the event the pri—
vate water supply is metered, or the sewerage flow is metered, the
equivalent of the additional charge defined in paragraph 2 shall
be added and paid quarterly.

C. For purposes of calculation of the sanitary sewer use rate, each
fractional living unit equivalent shall be treated as a whole
living units but in no case shall any sanitary sewer user be charged
for a number of living units in excess -of the greater of either the
residential equivalent unit (REC'S) or the service availability
charges (SAC'S) established for the property of the user.
3. City Water Rates shall be determined as follows:
A. First 15#000 gallons per quarter year ($0.60) per thousand with
a minimum quarter annual charge of not less than Nine Dollars
($9.00).
Excess 15,,000 gallons per quarter ($0.50) per thousand.
4. Payments made after due date on Utility Statement shall be penalized
10% of the total bill per quarter.
5. The rates and system herein set forth shall become effective in the
quarter of adoption of this Resolution and shall continue in effect
until altered by Resolution of the City Councils or until otherwise
altered or changed by operation of law.
