A RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BODY TRANSMITTING THE ATTACHED
APPLICATION FOR A LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE GRANT AS PER THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ADOPTED GUIDELINES FOR THE APPLICATION,
AWARD AND DISBURSEMENT OF SAID FUNDS AS AUTHORIZED BY PROVI-
SIONS OF THE METROPOLITAN LAND PLANNING ACT ADOPTED BY' THE
STATE LEGISLATURE.
The City Council of Hugo , Washington , County,
Minnesota determines that:
WHEREAS, the State Legislature and the Metropolitan
Council have made certain local planning assistance plan-
ning funds (grants-in-aid) available; and
WHEREAS, it is mandatory that the City of Hugo
do planning as per provisions of the Metropolitan Land Plan-
ning Act; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has provided Guidelines
for the Administration of Planning Assistance Grants; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hu&o has incurred and
will continue to concur various planning expenses as required
by State Statutes; and
WHEREAS, financial assistance is needed to properly plan
for the future environment of our Community in the general
public interest.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
(1 ) The City council of Hugo requests that
the Metropolitan Council provide the planning assistance
funds as allocated and authorized.
(2) On passage and adoption, the City Clerk shall be directed
to forward a copy of this Resolution to The Washington County
Planning Dept., and the Chairman of the Metropolitan Council
prior to Oct. 28th.
