RES OLUT I ON 1978-24
At a (regular) (special) meeting of the City Council of the City of Hugo ,
ie, , held on the 6th. day of March , 1978_, the following Resolution was offered
by Mayor LaValle ; seconded by Councilman Irsfeld y
; to wit :
W}ILREAS the Commissioner of Transportation for the State of Minnesota has caused to be pre-
pared: plans, special provisions, and specifications for the improvement of Trunk Highway
No. 1 , renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 61 , within the corporate limits of the
City of Hugo , from the South Corp limits, to North Corp limits
to
; and,
WIIERF.AS said plans are on file in the office of the Department of Transportation, St. Paul,
Minnesota; being marked, labeled. and identified as: S.P. 6222-79 (61=1) and 8206-19
(61=1) ; and,
EREAS said special provisions are on file in the office of the Department of Transportation,
St.Paul, Minnesota; being.; marked, labeled, and identified as: S.11, 6222-79 (61=1) and
8206-19 (61=1) 1 ; and
which, together with the "Minnesota Department of Highways Standard Specifications for Highway
Construction," dated January 1, 1972, as amended by Minnesota Department of Highways Supple-
mental Specifications for Highway Construction, dated April 1, 1976, will govern, and which
are on file in the office of the Commissioner of Transportation, constitute the specifications
for said improvement of Trunk Highway No. 1 , renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 61 ; and,
WHEREAS copies of said plans and special. provisions as so marked, labeled and identified are
also on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and,
WHEREAS the term, "said plans and special provisions,' as hereinafter used in the body of this
Resolution will be deemed and intended to mean, refer to, and incorporate the plans and special
provisions in the foregoing recitals particularly identified and described; and,
WHEREAS The Commissioner of Transportation desires in the interest of public safety that any
and all parking of vehicles, if such parking is permitted within the corporate limits of the
City of Hugo , on said Trunk Highway No. 1 . renumbered as Trunk Hishwav
Mn/DOT 2523 (4-77)
NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said plans and special provisions for the improvement of
T : Highway No. 1 , renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 61 , within the corporate limits
of the City of Hugo , be and hereby are approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Hugo does hereby agree to require
the parking of all vehicles, if such parking is permitted within the corporate limits of said
City, on said Trunk Highway No. 1 , renumbered Trunk Highway No. 61 , will be parallel
with the curb adjacent to the highway, and at least 20 feet from any crosswalks on all public
streets intersecting said trunk highway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the elevations and grades as shown in said plans and special
provisions are hereby approved and consent is hereby given to any and all changes in grade
occasioned by the construction of Trunk Highway No. 1 , renumbered Trunk Highway No.
61 , in accordance with said plans and special provisions.
Upon the call of the roll, the following councilman voted in favor of the
solution: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail
and, the following
None
councilman
voted against the adoption of the Resolution:
whereupon the mayor and/or the presiding officer declared the Resolution adopted.
