Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Miron
City Administrator Mike Ericson
ABSENT: Frank Puleo
This special City Council meeting was called to conduct interviews to fill the current vacancy on
the Parks and Recreation Commission.
INTRODUCTION OF CANDIDATES
City Administrator Mike Ericson introduced the candidates to the City Council: Jim Taylor;
Mathew Rauschendorfer; Noel Schmidt; Dan Milbrandt; and David Strub. He stated that staff was
very pleased with the quality and the number of residents who want to volunteer to serve on the
Parks and Recreation Commission. The Hugo City Council then conducted interviews of each of
the five candidates who would replace Tony Groff, who moved out of the City, who replaced
Jennifer May, who moved out of the City. After completion of the interviews, Council discussed
the applicants stating that they too were very pleased with the quality. Council agreed to discuss
the appointment of the new commissioner at its August 6, 2007 Council meeting, as well as the
creation of an alternate commissioner position.

Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to adjourn at 9:25 pm.
