INTERVIEWS TO FILL VACANCY ON BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
PRESENT: Granger, Petryk, Puleo, Mixon
City Administrator Mike Ericson and Planning Commission Chair Dave Schumann
ABSENT: Chuck Haas
INTRODUCTIONS OF CANDIDATES AND INTERVIEWS
City Administrator Mike Ericson introduced the three candidates to the Hugo City Council and
Planning Commission Chair Dave Schumann. The three candidates are: Ed Grieman, Greg
Burmeister, and Dwight Harvey. The individuals all submitted applications to the City for the
vacancy on the Board of Zoning Appeal created by the retirement of Bernie Brunotte. Staff was
informed earlier in the day that Ed Grieman's wife was in the hospital and could not make the
meeting. Council conducted interviews of Greg Burmeister and Dwight Harvey.
COUNCIL DISUCSSION AND DIRECTION TO STAFF
Mayor Miron stated that he was very pleased with the quality of the applicants and that any of
them would do an excellent job. He stated that this issue would be discussed by Council at its
Tuesday, September 4, 2007 meeting at which time Council would be expected to make an
appointment to fill the vacancy of Bernie Brunotte.

Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to adjourn at 8:08 pm.
