DISCUSS PROPOSED STREET RECONSTRUCTION IN THE HUGO ELEMENTARY
NEIGHBORHOOD
Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
PRESENT: Petryk, Puleo, Miron
PW Director Chris Petree, Finance Director Ron Otkin, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, and Senior
Engineering Technician Scott Anderson
ABSENT: Granger and Haas
City Engineer Jay Kennedy addressed the audience, which consisted primarily of residents living
the Hugo Elementary School neighborhood. He provided a PowerPoint presentation, which
provided an overview of the proposed street reconstruction project, including concrete curb and
gutter and storm sewer pipe. Council and staff then fielded many questions from residents,
including what the amount would be for special assessments and if residents living on Francesca
Avenue would receive credit for the mill and overlay project of 10 years ago. Mayor Miron
stated this issue would be discussed by the City Council at its October 1, 2007 meeting, after
which residents would be invited to a follow-up neighborhood meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Miron adjourned the meeting at 9:20pm.
