Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:25 pm.
PRESENT: Haas, Petryk, Miron

OTHERS PRESENT: City of Lino Lakes Gordon Heitke and Mike Grochala and John Bergeson;

Mayor Miron thanked everyone for attending, noting the excellent grill work of Hugo interns Rachel
Simone and Matt Stemwedel. All attendees introduced themselves and the organization they represented.
CSAH 8/14 PROJECT UPDATE
City Administrator Mike Ericson and CD Directory Bryan Bear provided an update of the CSAH 8/14
project. General contractor Arnt Construction has done an excellent job thus far, with excellent
coordination by Washington County and its subcontractor Barbarrossa & Sons. Huge amounts of earth
have been moved and MCES sewer project has seen cuts of 30', plus the concrete curb was just poured
today, and the project is on schedule with preliminary completion in November.
I-35E/CSAR 14 INTERCHANGE PROJECT UPDATE
Anoka County Commissioner Rhonda Sivarajah reported that the county is working with SRF
Engineering on traffic modeling and with MnDOT on a 2030 interchange design. They have been using
the design engineering funds secured by U.S. Congressman Mark Kennedy.
ANOKA COUNTY ROAD 14 PROJECT UPDATE
Anoka County Commissioner Rhonda Sivarajah reported that project engineer SRF Engineering will hold
an Open House on June 22, 2006 inviting the public to comment on the proposed road plan. Construction
is scheduled to start in spring 2007, with completion in 2008.
CITY AND COUNTY UPDATES
City, county, township, Met Council, and state representatives provided attendees updates on activities,
projects, and accomplishments in their respective jurisdictions. All agreed to keep improvements to the
I-35E/CSAH 18 interchange on the front burner of the Coalition and MnDOT, who was not able to attend.
NEW BUSINESS
Coalition members agreed to schedule the next I-35 W/E Coalition meeting for Thursday, September 28,
2006 at 7:00 pm, in the Hugo City Hall.
