Mayor Fran Miron opened the meeting at 5:00 pm at the Hugo City Hall.
PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron
Also in attendance were Hugo City Hall and Public Works Employees
This meeting was called to allow Hugo City Council members attendance at the City of
Hugo's Centennial Celebration Time Capsule Burial Ceremony. The City of Hugo was
fortunate to host the following politicians: Governor Tim Pawlenty; U.S. Congressman
Mark Kennedy; State Senator Michele Bachmann; State Representatives Ray Vandeveer
and Matt Dean; and Washington County Commissioner Dennis Hegberg. Mayor Miron
and Centennial Commission Chair Tina Volpe welcomed the hundreds of residents and
each introduced the politicians, who each congratulated the City of Hugo on its I Wh
Birthday. Mayor Miron noted Hugo's very own first couple, Clarence and Mayme Vail,
who are 99 and 98, and are the oldest living, longest married couple at 81 years in the
State of Minnesota, and believed to be in the United States of America.
Mayor Fran Miron adjourned the meeting at 9:30 pm.
