MINUTES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 29, 2006 FOR NIMS TRAINING <br />Acting Mayor Becky Petryk called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm at the Hugo Fire Hall. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Petryk, Puleo (Mayor Miron arrived at 6:40 pm.) <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson, PW Director Chris Petree, Finance Director Ron Otkin, and <br />Building Official John Benson <br />ABSENT: Chuck Haas <br />INTRODUCTION OF NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (NIMS) <br />HFD Rescue Captain Tony Bronk introduced himself and then each member of the City Council, <br />City staff, and firefighters introduced themselves, as well. He stated that NIMS training is a <br />requirement of FEMA when grant dollars are received by cities, of which the City of Hugo has been <br />successful. Tony provided a PowerPoint presentation on NIMS training for both the IS -100 and IS - <br />200 levels. There were questions asked by attendees and answered by Tony, who has been trained to <br />conduct the NIMS training. All attendees took a 25- question test for both the IS -100 and IS -200 <br />NIMS training session and the answer sheets will be mailed to FEMA in Washington, D.C. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Miron made motion, Puleo seconded, to adjourn at 8:22 pm. <br />All aye.
