Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.
PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron
Community Development Director Bryan Bear and Planning Intern Andrew Gitzloff
OTHERS PRESENT: See attached
Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes from I-35 W/E Coalition meeting
of April 21, 2005 as presented.
All aye. Motion Carried.
FEDERAL FUNDING FOR I-35E/CSAH 14 INTERCHANGE
Johnna Kuntz, Congressman Mark Kennedy's representative, presented members the status of
funding efforts by Mark Kennedy's office for the interchange.
CITY AND COUNTY UPDATES
Anoka County Engineer Doug Fischer presented a Power Point of the various improvements that
are scheduled in the 35E/35W area. Discussion followed about participation in funding from
area communities. Funding participation should be included as a discussion topic on future
agendas.
REPORT FROM STATE LEGISLATORS
Representative Ray Vandeveer summarized results of this year's legislative session, specifically,
1) transportation funding (no new money for roads); and 2) gas tax vs. wheelage tax.
NEXT MEETING DATE
The next I-35 W/E Coalition meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2005.
Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 pm.
