Mayor Fran Miron called the budget workshop to order at 9:10 am.
PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Puleo, Miron
City Administrator Mike Ericson; CD Director Bryan Bear; Finance Director Ron Otkin; PW
Director Chris Petree; I" Assistant Fire Chief Jadon 011ila; and City Clerk Mary Ann Creager
ABSENT: Becky Petryk
City Administrator Mike Ericson provided a Power Point presentation outlining financial and
administrative activities in the year 2004.
A lengthy Council discussion continued regarding the following issues and how they will impact
the 2005 City budget: history of payment to firefighters for drills; the approved hiring of four new
"daytime" firefighters and their training; the City salary matrix; the annual employee Cost of
Living Adjustment (COLA); possible elimination of the rural/urban taxing districts and use of the
funds for rural area storm water management; and discussion on changing the January 17, 2005
Council meeting to January 24'h rather than the following day, as has been the done in the past.
ADJOURNMENT
Granger made motion, Haas seconded, to adjourn at 11:00 am.
