Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm.
PRESENT: Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron
City Administrator, Michael Ericson
City Engineer, Dave Mitchell
Public Works Director, Chris Petree
Fire Chief, Joe McMahon
Washington County Sheriffs Deputies
ABSENT: Mike Granger
The meeting was held at the Withrow Elementary School to discuss the possible reopening of 140'
Street, north of Lake Plaisted. A presentation was made by City Engineer DaNe Mitchell to
discuss the options for reopening 14& Street. The citizens offered public comments. Council
stressed the importance of public safety and welfare.
Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to direct staff to:
1. Resurface 140' Street with 6" of gravel, as per budget and agreement from gravel contractor.
2. Reopen road.
3. Request MnDOT to conduct a survey to reduce speed limit from 55mph.
4. Post a variety of signs: Narrow Road; Occasional Flooding; No Boat Launching; No Fishing;
Tow -a -Way Zone; No Guard Rails; Children at Play.
S. Review City's finances and recommend funding source.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to adjourn at 8:39 pm.
