MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 3.2001 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />.City Administrator, Michael Ericson <br />CD Director, John Rask <br />City Attorney, Dave Snyder <br />City Engineer, Dave Mitchell <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 19.2001 <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting of November <br />19, 2001 as submitted. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Miron <br />ABSTAINED: Frank Puleo <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Discussion of Subordination Agreement with MN Union Builders <br />Update on Joint Council/Planning Commission meeting of December 1, 2001 <br />Discussion of Development Pacing <br />Planning Commission Reappointment <br />Petryk made motion, Granger seconded, to set the agenda for the meeting of 12/3/01 as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PETER SCHNAIDTBARBARA KEARN (HUGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL) <br />Hugo Elementary School Principal Barbara Kearn was present to introduce Masumi Aoyama, a visitor <br />from Japan, who is helping students learn more about Japanese school children. Mayor Fran Miron <br />visited Hugo Elementary School and met with school officials and psychologist Peter Schnaidt <br />regarding community core values supported by the WBL School District. Mr. Schmidt was present to <br />outline the core values to the Hugo City Council. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to draft a resolution adopting the same community <br />core values as supported by the WBL School District. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CITY HALL LANDSCAPING PLAN — JASON NABER (EOR) AND LAURIE MCROSTIE <br />(SEH) <br />Jason Naber from EOR, the RCWD engineers, designed the storm water infiltration system for the new <br />City Hall site and reviewed the design with the Council. As a part of the grant application, the City will <br />need to: 1) provide public education of the system; 2) monitor drainage system after rainfall; 3) make <br />sure parking lot is clean of debris; and 4) maintenancetweeding of the system.
