Mayor Walter Stoltzman reconvened the meeting at City Hall at 6:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman
ALSO PRESENT were: Dave Schumann
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss whether any further Council action
was required to tender an offer to Mike Ericson for the position of City
Administrator.
The Mayor informed the Council that a contract of employment was being
prepared. A question had arisen regarding Mr. Ericson's retirement plAn, and
the Council informally indicated it was in favor of continuing his current
retirement plan at a City match of $1500 annually.
The City Council also discussed Mr. Ericson's expectation that a 6 -month review
would be held in the fall, and was in agreement that this would be performed.
Mr. Haas discussed Mr. Ericson's expectation that the Council would make a
commitment to move forward with the construction of new facilities for City staff.
The Council was in agreement that this should happen, and authorized the City
Hall Building Committee to undertake discussion on what temporary
arrangements should be made for additional staff in the near future. Mr. Leroux
accepted this responsibility on behalf of the Committee.
Ms. Barnes moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by
Councilmember Haas.
All aye. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 6:55 p.m.
