Mayor Walter Stoltzman called to order this special meeting of the City Council at 7:00 pm.
PRESENT: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman
City Administrator, Michael Ericson
This special meeting was called to conduct a town meeting to consider plans for a new City
Hall. Bob Russek, chief architect for Bonestroo, Rosene, Andelik, and Associates, and project
manager for the feasibility study, made a presentation that included:
• The goals of the feasibility study
■ Drawings and descriptions of each of the three options described:
1. Remodel/renovate to expand the present City Hall
2. Remodel/renovate the Rice Lake Park building
3. Construct a new building on a new site in Hugo
• An evaluation matrix to rate each option based on a specific set of criteria
After Mr. Russek's presentation, the Council entertained questions from residents present in the
audience. The results of the meeting will be incorporated into the final draft of the City Hall
Feasibility Study, and presented to the City Council at its regular scheduled meeting on August
21, 2000.
Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to adjourn at 9:00 pm.
