HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999.04.12 CC MinutesMINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF APREL 12, 1999 The Mayor reconvened the City Council meeting of April 5, 1999, at 7:00 P.M. PRESENT: Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman City Administrator, Robert A. Museus City Attorney, Greg Galler Legal Counsel, Paul Haik ABSENT: Debra Barnes This meeting was called for the purpose of meeting with legal counsel to discuss potential litigation with the Rice Creek Watershed District, MN Department of Natural Resources, and the Board of Water Resources regarding Judicial Ditch #2. As the meeting was originally planned to discuss the City's revised Comprehensive Land Use Regulations, the Council determined to hold a special meeting on May 10, 1999, at 7:00 P.M. to continue their review of the regulations. The City Administrator requested the Council appoint a member to serve on the interview board for the Field Inspector being hired by the City. Petryk volunteered to serve in this capacity. Stoltzman made motion, Haas seconded, to appoint Council Member Petryk to the interview board for the Field Inspector position. All aye. Motion carried. In order to discuss the advisability and necessity of entering into a lawsuit with the RCWD, MnDNR, Board of Soil and Water Resources for the purpose of obtaining repairs of Judicial Ditch #2: Leroux made motion, seconded by Haas, to move into executive session. All aye. Motion carried. Separate minutes have been prepared for the executive session. At 8:55 P.M., Council Member Leroux made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to move from executive session to open session. All aye. Motion carried. In order to allow those Council members interested to participate in the RCWD's Board of Managers meeting, scheduled for April 14, 1999: Leroux made motion, seconded by Petryk, to recess the Council meeting until 7:00 P.M. April 14, 1999, at the Shoreview Community Center. All aye. Motion carried. Robert A. Museus, City Administrator
