The Mayor reconvened the recessed meeting of December 17, 1998 at 9:00 a.m.
PRESENT: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron
City Administrator, Robert Museus
Planning Commission: Peltier, Schumann, Puleo
The Council completed a page -by -page review of the draft comprehensive land -use
regulations. A substantial amount of time was spent discussing home occupations and
accessory commercial uses in the long-term agricultural and rural residential zoning
districts. The City Administrator was directed to revise the draft regulations to allow
certain service businesses to operate as accessory uses on large lots in the rural
development area by conditional use permit, including operation of such businesses in
accessory buildings; no exterior storage for the businesses to be allowed; business
activities are principally to be conducted off the site from the residence, and not require a
hazardous waste generator license. In addition, incidental use of accessory buildings is to
be allowed for small-scale home occupations.
Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adjourn at 2:20 p.m.
