The meeting was reconvened by Mayor Fran Miron at 8:45AM.
PRESENT: Agness, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Myon
City Administrator, Robert Museus
Finance Director, Ron Otkin
The purpose of this meeting is to consider acting upon the City's 1997 tax levy and
budget.
Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1996-20, A
RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYABLE 1997 FINAL LEVY
CERTIFICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,010,331.
VOTING AYE: Agness, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Myon
Motion Carried.
Barnes made motion, Agness seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1996-21, A
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE
1997 FISCAL YEAR IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,203,488.
VOTING AYE: Agness, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron
Motion Carried.
Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, directing the City Administrator to prepare
a resolution requesting that Washington County assume responsibility for the
construction of the outlet from the School Section/Goggins lakes basin, and that
such resolution should be presented to the City Council and the May Town Board
at their joint meeting on December 19, 1996.
Councilmember Barnes left the meeting at 9:OOAM.
The Council then discussed the motion made on December 16, 1996 to reduce the
required escrow for the Oneka Lakes subdivision to $8,750 plus $250 for each lot
without a boulevard tree within the subdivision. Councilmember Barnes had
counted 11 lots without trees. This number was agreed to by Mr. Rick
Lewandowski, developer of the project, who was present at the meeting, resulting
in a total escrow of $11,500 for the project.
Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adjourn at 9:30AM.
