GOAL SETTING WORKSHOP
January 12, 2011

Chairman Gwynn called the workshop to order at 7:45 p.m.
PRESENT: Gwynn, Kleissler, Knauss, McRoberts, Rosenquist
ABSENT: Arcand, Moore
ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director
Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant
Rachel Juba, Planner
2012 Goal Setting
The Planning Commission discussed its goals for 2011 and set additional goals for 2012.
2012 Planning Commission Goals
• Review of the downtown plan
• Study and plan the northern gateway (170th and TH 61)
o Grant opportunities
• Zoning ordinance updates
o Staff to provide list
• Bus Tour
• Connection of trail systems to commercial areas
o Victor Gardens, Downtown, Northern Gateway
• Stormwater Plan / Stormwater CIP
• Eastern Hugo sewer study
• PC Training
o Planning Commissioner seminars
o Staff -led workshops to discuss procedures, land -use, zoning, etc.
The Planning Commission suggested that staff prepare an overview of the Hugo Downtown
Master Plan, Downtown Design Guidelines, and the Maxfield Research Study for review and
discussion by the Planning Commission.
Adiournment
Rosenquist motioned, Kleissler seconded, to adjourn.
All Ayes, motion carried.
