MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 24, 2012 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. <br />PRESENT: Kleissler, Knauss, McRoberts, Rosenquist <br />ABSENT: Arcand, Gwynn, Moore <br />ALSO PRESENT: Rachel Juba, Planner <br />Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />Liz Hanson, Community Development Intern <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Vice Chair Kleissler added to the March 22, 2012 minutes the Oath of Office taken by Knauss. <br />Rosenquist made motion, McRoberts seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />March 22, 2012, with revisions. <br />All Ayes, motion carried. <br />Phase Two Site Plan — Xcel Energy <br />Planner, Rachel Juba, presented to the Planning Commission the phase two site plan for the Xcel <br />Energy Training Center located at 13620 Fenway Boulevard North. The phase two site plan <br />includes a training barn. McRoberts asked when phase one of the building plans to be built. <br />Juba answered by saying that once all the permits and construction applications got approved <br />then construction will start. Juba then presented the topics of construction, landscaping, fencing <br />and screening, building architecture, grading, drainage and utilities of the training barn. <br />McRoberts asks about the coloring of the phase two building and Juba responds saying that it <br />will be two -toned and consistent with the previously approved building. Juba informed the <br />Commission that the phase two site plan meets all of the ordinance standards for building <br />setbacks, building height, building coverage, landscaping, lighting, fencing, screening, street <br />access, parking, trails, architecture, signage, drainage, grading, utilities and wetlands. She <br />recommended that the Commission approve the site plan as presented. <br />Vice Chair Kleissler then asked for Commission feedback. All Commission members replied <br />saying they had no questions. <br />
