PRESENT: Kleissler, Knauss, McRoberts, Rosenquist ABSENT: Arcand, Gwynn, Moore ALSO PRESENT: Rachel Juba, Planner Bryan Bear, City Administrator Liz Hanson, Community Development Intern Approval of Minutes Vice Chair Kleissler added to the March 22, 2012 minutes the Oath of Office taken by Knauss. Rosenquist made motion, McRoberts seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of March 22, 2012, with revisions. All Ayes, motion carried. Phase Two Site Plan — Xcel Energy Planner, Rachel Juba, presented to the Planning Commission the phase two site plan for the Xcel Energy Training Center located at 13620 Fenway Boulevard North. The phase two site plan includes a training barn. McRoberts asked when phase one of the building plans to be built. Juba answered by saying that once all the permits and construction applications got approved then construction will start. Juba then presented the topics of construction, landscaping, fencing and screening, building architecture, grading, drainage and utilities of the training barn. McRoberts asks about the coloring of the phase two building and Juba responds saying that it will be two -toned and consistent with the previously approved building. Juba informed the Commission that the phase two site plan meets all of the ordinance standards for building setbacks, building height, building coverage, landscaping, lighting, fencing, screening, street access, parking, trails, architecture, signage, drainage, grading, utilities and wetlands. She recommended that the Commission approve the site plan as presented. Vice Chair Kleissler then asked for Commission feedback. All Commission members replied saying they had no questions. Planning Commission Minutes — May 24, 2012 Page 2 Two representatives were in the audience to represent Xcel Energy. Vice Chair Kleissler welcomed them to add anything to Juba's presentation. Both representatives agreed that Juba presented everything that needed to be said. Rosenquist made a motion, Knauss seconded, to approve the phase two site plan for Xcel Energy as presented. All Ayes, motion carried. Adjournment Kleissler motioned, McRoberts seconded, to adjourn at 7:17pm. All Ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned. Liz Hanson Community Development Intern
